As an National Association of Social Workers aligned clinical supervisor, my goal is to help LMSWs grow into confident, ethical, and effective clinicians through supportive and engaging supervision.

Strengthening your understanding and application of the DSM-5-TR in clinical practice

Expanding knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities and interventions

Preparing for the LCSW exam through discussion, strategy, and clinical integration

Letter of approval from your director/boss/supervisor stating you are allowed to complete clinical supervision outside of the facility.

To successfully complete your supervised experience, you must meet the following criteria set by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC):
Duration: Minimum of 24 months.
Work Hours: At least 30 hours of work per week. If working part-time, supervision hours scale and can extend the process up to 5 years.
Supervision Sessions: At least 100 hours of supervisory sessions, capped at a maximum of 10 hours per 30-day period.
Verification: Both a Clinical Supervision Plan (at the beginning) and a Clinical Supervision Verification Form (at the end) must be signed and submitted by your LCSW-S.
